APPLICATION FOR 2026 KEEP WAKULLA BEAUTIFUL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD IS OPEN UNTIL 4/17

Purpose
This scholarship is available to provide financial assistance to high school students (seniors) interested in preserving the environment and the pursuit of a higher education.
Award
A scholarship in the amount of $2,000 will be awarded to eligible students whose past and present efforts best embody the ideals of environmental responsibility and stewardship. This scholarship will be awarded and presented on an annual basis. Having participated in a KWCB project is a requirement as a part of this scholarship.
Eligibility
Any graduating high school senior who meets the following criteria is eligible to apply.
Qualified applicants must be high school seniors who are accepted to a two- or four-year higher education institution.
Qualified applicants must have participated in at least one KWCB event or program.
Application Procedures
The application deadline is April 17, 2026
The essay written by the applicant cannot be AI generated 500 words, and you may attach a reference page if necessary. No graphics or pictures in the essay.
Recommendations
At least two, but no more than four, letters of recommendation should accompany the packet, with at least one letter from a faculty member of your school.
Topic
With the growth in our county, what are ways developers can help with environmental protection?
Essay submissions should focus on the environment and health issues. Keep Wakulla Beautiful seeks to award a scholarship to the student that most embodies the goals of our organization, while demonstrating a strong civic and social responsibility to the environment.
Additional Information
Scholarship recipients may use the award to defray necessary expenses such as, tuition, living expenses, books, supplies, fees, and special project costs.
