** KWCB is getting this question: “What do I do with my old television?” since our announcement NO TELEVISIONS at the Hazardous Waste Day on APRIL 21, 2018.
1. Call Waste Pro at (850)926-7010 and schedule a “bulky” pickup which is on the first Saturday of each month (No charge)
2. Take the television to the Waste Pro facility on MLK
Friday 8-5 or Saturday 8-3. Charge is $3.50 per 100 pounds
3. Place it curbside (FLAT SCREENS ONLY – NO FLOOR MODELS) on your regular trash pick-up day.
Keep Wakulla County Beautiful, Wakulla County and ESG, Inc. announce the next Household Hazardous Waste Day will take place on Saturday, APRIL 21, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Public Works Operations Center 340 Trice Lane, Crawfordville.
As a reminder, when discarded improperly, many household products can pollute and pose a health risk. Wakulla County holds these free events for County residents and conditionally exempt small generators ONLY. Businesses and other agencies must call (850) 926-7616 to register and some fees will apply.
At the collection event, citizens may bring hazardous waste, in addition to their electronics.
**IMPORTANT CHANGE — NO TELEVISIONS will be accepted this year. Medical sharps, medicines and radioactive materials waste cannot be accepted. We do not accept bulky wastes such as appliances (refrigerators, stoves/ovens, washing machines, dryers, etc.), furniture, yard waste, construction and demolition debris, household garbage or Styrofoam.
